The Japanese GP has just wrapped up this morning and Lewis Hamilton has grabbed his 71st pole position. Teammate Valtteri Bottas qualified 2nd but does have a 5-place grid penalty. This promotes Sebastian Vettel up to the front row and Daniel Ricciardo to 3rd. Max Verstappen completes the all Red Bull front row. Raikkonen qualified 5th but also has a 5-place grid penalty. So the Force Indias of Ocon and Perez will be promoted up to the 3rd row. Romain Grosjean scuppered chances of improvement for any driver after he hit the wall at the Esses. Here is how social media reacted to the Japanese GP qualifying.
