Why did Chris Jericho write this?
Now, the reason why Jericho might say something like this is maybe The Painmaker missed the spot and his whole body never landed properly on Angle.
However, Angle, being the veteran he is moved towards Jericho so that he might not botch the spot. As a result, Jericho’s knee landed on Angle’s chest, which attracted a huge pop from the crowd.

Eventually, AEW is notoriously known for calling out WWE or their wrestlers whenever and wherever possible, so maybe Jericho is taking another shot.
Jericho currently is having a lighter schedule on the AEW roster and has not been around the in-ring action. However, the fans still want the former AEW champion to get into the mainstream feud with someone.
