Former AEW Tag Team Champion Reveals He Might Never Wrestle Again After Gruesome Injury

Injuries can often challenge for wrestling stars, especially when gaining momentum in their respective brands. Some injuries can be so severe that it will question the superstar’s self-belief and will to return to the ring. For example, AEW Superstar Cash Wheeler of the FTR was injured in July and sold since then. Now Wheeler has shared some light on his injury to the public via a social media post.
Cash Wheeler details his Arm Injury

Cash Wheeler and Dax Harwood, formerly known as Revival in WWE, made their AEW debut in 2020. Pundits have praised the duo for their classic tag-team style, which has been missing in the wrestling industry. Unfortunately, on July 28 of 2021, Cash Wheeler suffered a grave injury which then sidelined him for over three months. Now Cash Wheeler is back from rehabilitation and will make his much-awaited return on September 1.

Before entering the ring, Cash Wheeler shared some information about the injury he sustained on AEW a month ago. Wheeler described the injury as something that horrified him and made him feel insecure. Cash added- “August 28th, I had a hook stab into my arm and ripped it open. For almost a month, I’ve been dealing with the loss of grip strength, loss of feeling/nerve damage, and wondering if this is even worth it anymore. But, if this is the end, we’re taking a pound of flesh with us.”

When FTR joined hands with MJF and formed The Pinnacle in AEW
The Pinnacle, which MJF leads, is one of the top stables in the industry right now. FTR joined them back in 2020, but unfortunately, Cash Wheeler couldn’t use the chance he earned by being part of the best heel stable in the wrestling world. Cash’s injury meant that the writers had to change their direction as they couldn’t do it without the presence of FTR.

Now that Cash Wheeler is back, fans can hope for better writing from AEW’s part as the duo is one of the world’s best tag teams. FTR can finally be part of serious storytelling as WWE never used the duo to its fullest. Joining The Pinnacle will only increase their popularity among the fans.
