Tonight, WWE is holding its first post-WrestleMania 40 Premium Live Event, Backlash, from Lyon-Décines, France. An event where Cody Rhodes will defend the Undisputed WWE Championship against AJ Styles. However, it seems like we already have the biggest news from the event that will make top headlines. And that too in the first match.

Kevin Owens and Randy Orton faced Tama Tonga and Solo Sikoa tonight, where it seemed like the new Bloodline would be defeated by the dominance of KO and the RKO. However, there came an unexpected helping hand in the form of none other than Tanga Loa, the brother of Tama Tonga. But who is Tanga Loa?

The new member of the Bloodline is Tevita, who wrestles under the ring name Tanga Loa. He is the adopted brother of Tama Tonga and Taula AKA Hikuleo. Tonga Fifita (known as Haku or Meng) is the WWE legend and the father to these three superstars. This makes him a cousin to the Rock, Usos, Sikoa, and the former Tribal Chief Roman Reigns.

However, this isn’t the first time that Tanga Loa has made his WWE appearance. He earlier had a developmental contract with the WWE back in 2009 but could not make a mark for himself. Despite spending some time in the main roster as Camacho and partnering up with Hunico, he couldn’t be a main part of the show.

A fun fact is that in their first match together, they beat the Usos. However, later he decided to make a name for himself in Total Nonstop Action in the year 2015, but it wasn’t until he joined NJPW along with his brothers that he became the famous indie star that he is. He was a founding member of Guerrillas of Destiny (G.O.D.) alongside his brother.

The stable was later joined by Hikuleo, El Phantasmo, and Jado. Tanga Loa and Tama Tonga won the IWGP Tag Team Titles at the Invasion Attack event. Also in 2016, the two reached the final of the World Tag League but failed to win the tournament.

The same epilogue occurred in the 2017 edition of the World Tag League: GOD reached the final but was defeated by Los Ingobernables de Japón (EVIL and SANADA). They finally managed to win the tournament in 2020, defeating FinJuice (David Finlay and Juice Robinson) in the grand final. And now he has come to the WWE to team up with his brother again and become a part of the Bloodline.
