In today’s AEW Dynamite episode, Samoa Joe was attacked by Indian professional wrestler Satnam Singh. After defeating Minoru Suzuki in the bout, Samoa Joe became the New Ring of Honor World Television Champion.

However, before Joe can celebrate his victory, Jay Lethal and Sonjay Dutt arrived on the ramp and informed Joe that he would receive a gift.

Last week, Dutt and Lethal had told Joe that they’ll bring a surprise for him this week. And when they unwrapped the present, Lethal showed his middle finger to Joe.

Immediately, the arena gets blacked out, and as the lights came back on, Singh was standing behind Joe.

Satnam Singh took down the new ROH TV Champion by hitting him with a clothesline, then Dutt and Lethal joined Singh to attack Joe.

Joe struggled to fight back against the 3 wrestlers. Eventually, Singh seized Joe and clutched him hard, then Lethal delivered his lethal injection to Joe.

Who is Satnam Singh?

Singh was born on December 10, 1995, in Baloke, a tiny, rural village in the state of Punjab, India.

The 7’3′′ Singh was picked as the 52nd overall pick by the NBA’s Dallas Mavericks in 2015. He was the first Indian basketball player to be drafted into an NBA team.

In January 2017, Netflix released a documentary titled “One in a Billion.” Singh’s life and journey to the NBA were portrayed in the documentary.

In 2017, Singh appeared for a WWE tryout at the Performance Center. Unfortunately, his performance was not remarkable and WWE didn’t give him a contract.

However, after that, AEW signed Singh in September 2021. After a lengthy wait, the Indian Giant finally made his AEW appearance today and attacked the new ROH TV Champion Samoa Joe. Fans anticipate him to be The Great Khali’s version of AEW.

Additionally, it is expected that, similar to how The Great Khali drew an Indian audience, Singh’s appearance at AEW would attract the Indian audience.
