Pre-workout supplements are associated with various potential benefits, such as enhanced physical performance, lower risk of diseases, prevention of type 2 diabetes, mood enhancement, and so on. However, PumpClub asks whether someone has a caffeine gene or not. If a person is blessed with that caffeine gene, he or she can get more health benefits from it. Only some people can benefit from it.

According to the newsletter, one’s gene has the potential to determine how much caffeine boosts one’s physical or exercise performance. Research revealed that people with an AA genotype can experience greater improvement in exercise performance compared to those with a different genotype AC or CC.
The newsletter says, “People with genes metabolizing caffeine at an intermediate or fast pace saw the most benefits. Meanwhile, the slow metabolizers saw little or no benefit, or — in some cases — they even saw a decrease in performance.”

Arnie has revealed that supplements are not preferable for good health in the long run as they are associated with various side effects. They can impact the hormones and maximize the risk of various potential diseases and even went on to suggest that people shouldn’t trust them blindly.

Schwarzenegger wrote in the newsletter that the supplement industry has more issues than most people can “imagine.” The most egregious is that supplement companies are not required to test their products for the presence of these banned substances. The FDA also allows supplement companies to self-manage the claims on their labels.
