Andy Murray has earned a spot for the French Open 2020. Originally scheduled in May, the Grand Slam was postponed to October because of the coronavirus pandemic. On Monday, the tournament officials announced the wildcard entries to this year’s French Open.
Former World No.1 and 2016 Roland Garros finalist, Andy Murray, was handed a wildcard entry. Murray was also given a wildcard entry to the US Open 2020, where he lost in the second round to Félix Auger-Aliassime.
The three-time Grand Slam champion will play at the French Open for the first time since 2017. Notably, he had missed the tour for two years because of a hip injury.
