Track and Field, on the other side, has athletes from different parts of the world. So Lyles felt NBA players do not deserve to be hailed as the world champions.

Durant took to his Instagram to softly slam Lyles, stating that the latter needed help. The ATP champion, too, reacted similarly in his post-match press conference. When the reporter asked the 10th seed what Tiafoe had to say about Lyle’s and KD’s comments.
