Andy Murray takes the example of Novak Djokovic for explaining his change of game plan against Jannik Sinner
In the post-match press conference, Murray highlighted that he changed his game plan against Sinner so that the Italian couldn’t anticipate or predict anything. He took the reference of Novak Djokovic and explained that nobody expected the Serbian to advance down the court and rely himself on volleys during his match against Daniil Medvedev at the Paris Masters final between the two.

“You know you can come up with a game plan, having watched whoever you are about to play but then they come out and do something completely different like Novak did in the final against Medvedev when he was losing. You know, I’m sure they didn’t prepare for Novak to be serving volleys as much as he did,” said Murray.

Djokovic lost the first set of the final in Paris to Medvedev 4-6, which would have sent him back to the US Open final where Nole lost all three sets with the same scoreline. However, he made an incredible comeback in the next two sets and clinched the match 4-6, 6-3, 6-3.
