Recently, the Rafa Nadal Museum got one more new addition, as 22-year-old Spanish soccer player Cata Coll paid a small visit.

Nadal respects and believes in cherishing the efforts of different athletes. Welcoming Cata Coll into his museum, the former world number one tennis player also received a special gift from the soccer star, making it a new addition to the museum.

The Spaniard’s academy is like a dream for sporting fans, where all of his trophies are on display along with a lot of objects donated by other greats. And now, it also showcases the jersey of the 22-year-old Spanish goalkeeper. In the midst of getting ready for the Australian Open, Nadal took some time out to welcome the world champion into his museum.

According to Marca, Cata Coll visited the museum, where she met Rafael Nadal during her tour. Getting an opportunity to meet Nadal, she gave him a signed shirt and gloves from her end. It was her popular red jersey, signed by her, that will now be on display in Nadal’s museum, along with other amazing things that recall the greatness of tennis or any other sport.

Before switching to football, Cata Coll had tried her hand in tennis. During her time in the arena, Coll won the Mallorca Alevín Championship 3rd category back in 2013 and featured in the Babolat Cup, which is one of the most prestigious events in training age.

Nevertheless, she is not the only female athlete to have a place in the museum. Years before, it was Maria Sharapova who donated a little part of her tennis career to the Rafa Nadal Museum for her fans and to keep her legacy alive.

Rafael Nadal’s museum holds a part of Maria Sharapova’s tennis career 

Back in 2021, the five-time Grand Slam champion donated a piece of one of the many tennis outfits she has worn during her two-decade-long tennis career. As someone who retired from the sport in 2020, a year later, she donated one of her autographed outfits that she has worn on the court, keeping her participation in remembrance.

Not only that, apart from Rafa’s titles, the museum also has a lot of valuable memories from legends like Roger Federer, Novak Djokovic, and Serena Williams. Just like Sharapova, the 23-time Grand Slam champion donated her red Nike shoes with her autograph, adding more charm to them.
