The Met Gala is one of the most revered and anticipated celebrity meetups. The celebrities adorn dresses adhering to the theme. This year Roger Federer is going to be the co-chair of the event alongside permanent co-chair Ana Wintour, and others like Dua Lipa, and Penelope Cruz.

The nature of the event is so extravagant that strict guidelines have to be laid down. Though some may sound bizarre, there is a logic behind them all. The first one is a “No selfie” rule. The reason behind this rule is to make sure celebrities have a good time and mingle with each other. The aim is to stop them from wasting their time on phones.

The other one, and probably, the most bizarre one is “No onion breath.” This is something that Ana Wintour has personally made sure to get implemented. She omitted both onion and garlic from the menu so that no one has to encounter a puff of bad breath. Apart from this, parsley is also kept off the menu, so that it does not stick to anyone’s teeth.

As Roger Federer is set to make a debut as a co-chair for the grand event, there are quite a few things that he is encountering for the first time. Apart from these bizarre rules, an animal welfare organization has also come to vouch for its take.
