Jannik Sinner is the name that has been on the mouth of almost every tennis fan recently. And rightly so because the 19-year-old became the fourth teenager ever to reach the finals of the Miami Open 2021. Even though he failed to conquer Miami and lost a one-sided battle in the finals, the Italian showed that he has got immense potential to be a big name in tennis one day.
In a recent interview, renowned sports journalist Steve Flink talked about the class of the 19-year-old Jannik Sinner. He mentioned that he was not too worried about Sinner, as the teenager is not afraid of anyone.
“I don’t think that Sinner’s afraid of anybody… I could see him going out. We haven’t seen him that much against the top players. He had his chance, should have won his first [set] against Nadal at Roland Garros last year… I don’t think he goes out on the court feeling intimidated by the other top players,” said Flink.

The sports journalist emphasized that Sinner surely has the potential of defeating the big players as well. He also believes that he has the right mindset to do so.
“I do feel that he could win in a field with everybody there too, under the right circumstances. I’m not saying he’s going to beat three top-five players to win it, but he can beat some of the top guys. I think he has the right mindset to play against the best players,” added the American.
