World No.5 Dominic Thiem has had a pretty rough season in 2021. He is yet to win a title and ended up injuring his wrist at the ATP Mallorca Open 2021. Because of the injury, he withdrew from the Wimbledon Championships 2021 and will now be out of the court for at least five weeks.
In a recent interview, Dominic Thiem revealed whether he will be able to make a comeback on the court by the time of the US Open 2021. He believes it’ll be really difficult for him to play in New York but he’ll surely want to play even if there are slight chances.
“It will be very, very close up to the US Open. I can’t guarantee anything or promise myself anything,” said Thiem in the interview. (Translated via Google Translate)
