World No.2 Daniil Medvedev recently lifted his first Grand Slam title at the US Open 2021. The Russian thrashed Novak Djokovic in straight sets to lift the major and shattered his dreams of winning the Calendar Slam in New York. The final scoreline of the match was 6-4, 6-4, 6-4.
Recently, Tennis TV asked their followers on Twitter that if there is one result that they wish to change in the entire tennis history, what would that be. Interestingly, Daniil Medvedev also replied to this tweet.

Medvedev posted a picture of himself with Rafael Nadal during the US Open 2019 finals. He ended up as the runner-up of that tournament despite playing some really incredible tennis throughout the Grand Slam.
Even though Medvedev managed to conquer New York this year, he hasn’t got past his defeat against Nadal at the US Open 2019 finals. It was his first Grand Slam final and thus, he wanted to win it badly.

Medvedev led a phenomenal campaign at the US Open 2019. Even though no one really expected him to stand any chance at the Grand Slam, he stunned everyone with his incredible performance on the court.
In the finals against Rafa, even after losing the first two sets, the Russian gave a pretty tough fight to the Spaniard. He won the next two sets after working really hard, but eventually lost the final set. Unlike the Australian Open 2021 finals against Novak Djokovic, he came so close to winning in New York, but failed to finish on the winning side.
