“Failure was Never an Option For Me”: Novak Djokovic Reacts After Entering Week 2 of Wimbledon Championships For the 13th Straight Time

World No.1 Novak Djokovic registered his third victory at the Wimbledon Championships 2021. Facing Denis Kudla, the Serbian legend didn’t face many problems and thrashed his opponent in straight sets. The final scoreline of the match was 6-4, 6-3, 7(9)-6(7).
Novak Djokovic enjoyed an 88% win percentage on his first serve. He gave absolutely no chance to Denis Kudla to bounce back and even survived a close tie-breaker in the third set. With this win, he’ll now advance to the pre-quarters of the Wimbledon Championships 2021.
In the post-match interview, Djokovic highlighted that failure is never an option for him. He also believes that it is this mindset that has actually strengthed him mentally.

“Failure was never an option for me or anyone in my family. We needed to find the basic needs to survive. That’s strengthened my character,” said Djokovic in the interview.
Djoker also stated that this attitude of not failing has always been there in his entire family. As a result, he also emulated the same thing in his childhood only.

“I spent a lot of time in the mountains with the wolves, this is my wolf energy. I’m not kidding, actually!” added the World No.1 player.
