The American tennis sensation, Frances Tiafoe, had a dream run at his home slam last year, before losing to the eventual US Open champion. Despite the disappointing ending, Tiafoe’s exploits, which also include upsetting the 14-time Roland Garros champion, Rafael Nadal, certainly delighted the packed stadium. Surprisingly enough, it wasn’t just the tennis player who earned the recognition after his run at the last Grand Slam of the year; but also his outfit during the tournament.

Recently, fans couldn’t help but draw an analogy between the outfits of the renowned singer, Harry Styles, during the Grammy Awards, and the outfit of the US Open semifinalist.

The annual Grammy award is the talk of the town, and not just because of the outstanding music achievements of the singers. It has gained notoriety because of the sophisticated ensemble that the renowned stars donned at the prestigious event. And that is what made the ‘Lights Up’ singer a center of attention for tennis fans.

The eye-grabbing outfit that Styles wore at the Grammys was the focus of tennis fans for amusing reasons: the uncanny similarity between the outfit that Tiafoe wore on the court at the French Open, and that Styles wore at Grammys. Both personalities wore multi-colored dresses. While Styles wore a multi-colored (shimmer) jump-suit, cut-out at the chest, the current World No. 14 wore a plain sports outfit. The similarity drew the attention of tennis fans as they reacted on Twitter.

Others took to the comments section of the tweet and reacted in a similar manner; appreciating the outfit of the tennis star.

Moreover, tennis fans have brought another tennis player, suggesting that he might have been the inspiration for their flair.

But there were some fans who might have liked the outfits of the two; as they compared it to the renowned Swiss Army Knives.

Earlier, this year, at the United Cup, the World No.14 proved himself as the ‘true entertainer‘ when he tapped the hand of every ball boy that queued up for him, to the amusement of the spectators.
