Novak Djokovic has been one of the greatest players tennis has ever seen. Chiefly, over the last decade, the 35-year-old has been a dominant force in men’s tennis. To date, the Serb has gone on to win an incredible 20 Grand Slam titles.

Further, he has inspired many fans with his grit and determination on the court. Among them was Arthur Delaye, a special tennis player. Recently, Djokovic met him and had inspiring words for Arthur.

Novak Djokovic surprises a young fan

The Serb took to Twitter to share a picture of his meeting with a special fan. Further, he said, “Great to meet you yesterday, Arthur! One day we’ll play my friend, keep up your hard work on court.”

Earlier, Arthur had shared his training video and revealed how he was inspired by Djokovic and Nadal. He said, “I play tennis with passion despite my physical disability due to cerebral palsy. I am always inspired by 2 legends @RafaelNadal and @DjokerNole. I dream to play tennis 1 day with one of these champions in Paris to promote inclusion through tennis.”

Recently, Djokovic expressed his disappointment over the controversy surrounding Wimbledon. The governing bodies of tennis had stripped the tournament of ranking points after Wimbledon banned Russian and Belarusian players. Subsequently, Djokovic called for the restructuring of the ATP and wished for more inclusion of players’ opinions while taking such decisions.

Djokovic advances at the French Open 2022

The Serb breezed into the third round in Paris after a comfortable straight-set victory over Alex Molcan. The 35-year-old is the defending Roland Garros champion and has entered the tournament high on confidence after his Italian Open victory.
