Roger Federer reveals who loves to play tennis more among his kids

While talking to CNN, The Swiss Maestro was asked whether his kids enjoy playing tennis and if anyone was particularly excelling in the sport. The interviewer asked, “I hear that all four of them are actually enjoying playing Tennis now.” Federer immediately said, “They do, yes.” The next question would be obvious. Who plays the game better?

When asked if any child of his is showing promise, Federer answered, “Yes, I think the boys, that they are younger, I feel like they are more into it. I am happy that the girls didn’t get into it, like, uh, super crazy from the get-go. The boys..” He was interrupted mid-sentence as his response caught the interviewer off-guard.

Federer and Mirka had their first set of twins, both daughters, in 2009. At that time, the Swiss G.O.A.T. was busy winning trophies and making history. So when he was asked why he was glad that the girls were not into the game, Federer revealed his honest response, more like a father, and less like a tennis legend.

What is the reason behind Roger Federer’s candid response?

The forty-one-year-old won his 6th Wimbledon title the same year his first set of twins were born. Naturally, it was difficult for him to keep tabs on professional tennis as well as teach the game to his kids. Federer said, “I didn’t need my first kids to be tennis players, to be honest. We were traveling, so it was hard to put in the hours, okay?”

The Wimbledon wizard further added that now that his daughters are about to turn 14, they want to play more and more tennis. In fact, they play 3-4 times a week. Federer revealed that he is happy for his kids and that he feels his boys are going to be much more sportive from the beginning owing to their now subtle life.

‘King Roger’ even confessed that he cannot coach his children as he is a father first. No matter how many Wimbledon titles he has got, he is still a father. His heartwarming revelations and adoration for his family made the internet swoon over him yet again. Above all, he is an excellent father.
