It is true for a tennis phenomenon like Roger Federer, the days were numbered when he could dedicate himself to his family. Retirement agrees with the Maestro as he is regularly seen on family trips, making up for lost time. When Federer announced his retirement ahead of the 2022 Laver Cup in London, he promised his fans one thing: “I won’t be a ghost.” A year later, Roger may have special reasons to stay connected with the sport than the ones that come to him in his own right.

What is the reason behind Roger Federer’s candid response?

The forty-one-year-old won his 6th Wimbledon title the same year his first set of twins were born. Naturally, it was difficult for him to keep tabs on professional tennis as well as teach the game to his kids. Federer said, “I didn’t need my first kids to be tennis players, to be honest. We were traveling, so it was hard to put in the hours, okay?”

Federer revealed that he is happy for his kids and that he feels his boys are going to be much more sportive from the beginning owing to their now subtle life.

‘King Roger’ even confessed that he cannot coach his children as he is a father first. No matter how many Wimbledon titles he has got, he is still a father. His heartwarming revelations and adoration for his family made the internet swoon over him yet again. Above all, he is an excellent father.
