In a recent interview with journalist Sebastian Fest, Bublik candidly opened up about his experiences with legendary tennis players like Djokovic and Federer. The list also brought the names of Gael Monfils and Grigor Dimitrov into the mix. The Kazakhstani’s comment about the Serbian icon was truly a surprising one.

In a candid interview with Sebastian Fest, Bublik revealed that he didn’t get much time to interact with Swiss tennis legend Federer since he was already retiring back then. However, Bublik revealed a surprising truth about his interaction with Novak Djokovic. This Kazakhstani player said- “Yeah, not much time with Roger. When I arrived he was already quiting, not playing much. With Novak we talk a lot since Covid started. I wouldn’t say he is cool, he is 35 years old, he cannot be cool at 35 years old and father of two. He is a good gentleman, proud tennis player and proud father and he is great for the sport.”

However, Fest went further to listen to Bublik’s perception of the cool tennis players. In his response, Bublik said- “(Gael) Monfils is cool. Grigor (Dimitrov) is cool. With this two guys I get along very well.” Bublik further emphasized Gael Monfils when he was asked to define his idea of cool. He said- “Gael, Gael. He is the definition. He is chill, he likes the crowd. I define ‘cool’ as Gael Monfils.”
