In his official Instagram account’s story, Rune opened up about his feelings to the fans. Rune said- “As you know, I have tried many coaching constellations over the past 12 months. It has not been easy to find the perfect match in the first attempt because I have worked with the same coach for 15 years- my entire tennis life. I have learned a lot and found out what is important for me to feel good and at the same time develop. I have big ambitions and big goals, and I need people around me who have the same visions and who I can trust to achieve my goals.”

Rune’s statement clearly expressed that this Danish tennis star is moving through a stressful time. Rune further added by saying-“I need people who know me- who can be there all the time. That gives me peace and joy in a world that changes every single week.”

Lars (Christensen, ed.), Boris (Becker, ed.), and Severin (Luthi, ed.)- I love you and I’ll be looking forward to telling you more about my final trainer setup very soon.”

Boris Becker made an announcement on his social media channel regarding his decision to not continue as Rune’s coach. Becker said- “We started this partnership with the initial goal to reach the ATP Finals (at the) end of last year but moving forward I realized that in order for this to be successful, I would need to be available for Holger much more than I can, Due to professional and private responsibilities, I can’t give Holger what he needs now. I wish him only the very best and I’m always going to be his n.1 fan. I truly appreciated this journey together.”

Holger Rune’s statements express his sadness over Boris Becker leaving his team. However, Rune also showed encouragement to look for a perfect coach and ace his tennis game on the court soon.
