Hubert Hurkacz Decides to Serve Up a Kind Gesture During His Stint at Wimbledon Championships 2022

Hubert Hurkacz pledges support for Ukraine
The 25-year-old took to Twitter to announce his donation to support the people of Ukraine. He said, “I’d like to announce that starting tomorrow I am pledging to donate 100 euros for every ace I hit at Wimbledon to help support the people of Ukraine. Hope my serve works well!”

Further, Hurkacz is an effective server on the ATP Tour. He has already hit 452 aces this season, which is the third-best on the men’s tour this year.

Hurkacz will be looking to better his last year’s performance at Wimbledon. In the previous season, he had reached the semifinals before losing against Matteo Berrettini. En route to his last-four run, the Polish star had knocked out the Swiss maestro, Roger Federer, in the quarterfinals.
Hurkacz to open his Wimbledon campaign against Davidovich Fokina
Hurkacz is the seventh seed at this year’s Wimbledon Championships. He will take on Spain’s Alejandro Davidovich Fokina in the first round of the tournament. The duo has faced off against each other four times, with both winning two times each. Earlier this year, Hurkacz defeated Davidovich Fokina at the Madrid Open.

Hurkacz enters the Wimbledon Championships 2022 high on confidence. Earlier this month, he lifted the Terra Wortmann Open title in Halle after defeating World Number 1, Daniil Medvedev, in the summit clash. Hurkacz is certainly a dark horse for the grass-court Grand Slam tournament this year after his exploits on this surface over the past few years.
