Novak Djokovic has played exceptionally well at the Wimbledon Championships 2022. The Serb looks determined to defend his Wimbledon title for the third time in a row. The 36-year-old did not have a great season, before Wimbledon. Earlier this year, he was unable to participate in the Australian Open. Later he crashed out of the French Open after losing to Rafael Nadal. Notably, the Serb was defending champion of the first three Grand Slams last year.

Nadal was going strong in the Wimbledon as well but opted out of the semifinal match because of the abdominal muscle tear he sustained in the previous match. Coincidentally, a similar thing happened to Djokovic in the last year’s Australian Open. However, Djokovic played through the pain and won the title. Djokovic recently spoke about the same.

“I can say that it was extremely difficult. I drank every painkiller there is in this world, had every possible therapy and treatment, was hooked up to machines,” he said.
