Looking back, one can agree that there’s no dearth of stylish icons. Bjorn Borg, Andre Agassi, Steffi Graf – you name them, and the list drags on not to your chagrin. Yet, discomfiture also hits them. Ask Alexander Zverev. You love his looks, don’t you? But he is cribbing big time.

The World Number 16 grabs eyeballs with his charming personality. That’s what his fans love about him. However, this does not take away anything from the German’s electrifying presence on court. Now, his new hair style has had him field embarrassing questions too. Inquisitive, aren’t you? Well, he is dying for a haircut, but cannot have one due to a peculiar reason.

A major is still elusive, but with 20 ATP singles titles, underestimating him would be unfair. He came close to winning the US Open albeit ended up on the losing side to Dominic Thiem in the finals. But, the plethora of queries on his hairstyle chases him.

Recently, the 26-year-old was quizzed when he had his last hair cut and wasn’t he a bit exasperated? “Oh really! You just heard me say that! Last November,” he quipped. Last November? That’s been quite a while, Sasha?

But he is helpless and said he looked horrible. When the interviewer prodded him on the reason, he spilled the beans, “I lost a bet, so I can’t cut my hair for a year. I know I look like s**t’, but thank you for reminding me.” Now can he use that word on TV? He said he was okay with it and it could be beeped.
