It is worth noting that before the tournament, Kyrgios talked about being one of the top 10 players on the grass court. Although he faced a tough challenge in the first round, he showed his tremendous grass-court prowess in the second round against the Serbian player Krajinovic. Not to mention, he has had some excellent results on the grass-court before the Wimbledon.

Previously, he reached the semi-finals of both the Halle Open and the Stuttgart Open. After withdrawing from the Mallorca Open, he arrived at Wimbledon and played for over three hours to win his first-round match against British player Paul Jubb. Despite that, his form looks incredible right now, as he could be one of the dark horses of this tournament.
