The debate about who among Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, or Novak Djokovic is the greatest player of the game is a timeless classic. While some suggest it to be the Serbian, some think that it is the Swiss legend while some go ahead with Rafa for his never dying spirit. However, none can come to a conclusion. Not only fans, but tennis professionals as well have been upfront when it comes to choosing their best players. However, it can come with a certain backlash as well.

The same case happened with Younes El Aynaoui, the former tennis player. In a recent interview, the Morrocan international came ahead and sparked his opinion on the GOAT debate while voicing his own opinions. However, some fans did not like his statement and they went ahead to slam the former world number 14.

In a recent tweet shared, former tennis pro-Younes El Aynaoui came ahead and sparked his opinion on why he thinks that Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal were way greater than their rival Novak Djokovic. While he suggested on-court behavior after the defeat to be a main component, it seems like the fans did not really like his opinion.

One user came ahead and called him a clown while suggesting that this year has been hurtful for some of Rafa’s friends. The clown of the week contender is Younes El Aynaoui. Gosh, this year has really hurt Nadal and some of his friends, bless them,” said the user.

Another user came and suggested that using a player’s flaws to compare him to greatness will only make things worse for them. He later suggested that both Roger Federer and Rafael Nadal have a lot of dirt to their name and it shouldn’t even be a criteria.

This user came in and said that he had never seen anyone who had badmouthed Novak Djokovic so much. He further went ahead to add that he got his 15 minutes of limelight with these statements. “We have had weeks of people I’ve never heard of badmouthing Nole to get their 15 mins. Ok….the 15 mins starts now and he can crawl back into obscurity,” said the user.

While Younes said that both Nadal and Federer had a better history when it came to dealing with defeats, this user suggested that there are hardly any chances that anything of this sort happened. He further went ahead to add that their handshakes on the net speak a lot about it. “Zero chance they accepted defeats better than Djoko. Go back and watch the handshakes at the net. Fed is never a good sport,” suggested the user.

Last, but not least, one fan voiced his opinion by saying that this is pure brainwashing and how can someone be so far away from the truth. The user further added that there have been moments when both the legends of the game have acted like losers on the court. However, he added that it hasn’t been the case with Djokovic.

“How one can be so far from the truth… there are so many times that both Nadal and Federer were acting like sore losers, and never Djokovic, the brainwashing of media is so real!” said the fan.

Thus, the comments made by Younes dealt with a lot of backlash from the fans as they did not seem to have agreed with Younes’ parameters while comparing the two greats of the game with the Serbian legend. In his interview, he went ahead to praise the longevity of the Serbian great while putting a question mark on the upcoming generation.

In his interview, he further added that he had the good fortune to see the three best stars of the game thrive at their level best to win trophies and solidify their stature as the greatest of the game. However, he added that Novak Djokovic is still going strong and it is only time that will reveal when he decides to hang up his boots.

Not only this, he also talked about the future generations while saying that it will be interesting to see how far the future generation makes it in the game.

“Fortunately we were able to enjoy the era of these three players, Djokovic is still playing and expanding his legend, we will see next year how far the new generation goes,” he added.
