World No.1 Novak Djokovic is having a really great time on the court. He has continued his good form at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 and won his first match effortlessly. Facing Bolivia’s Hugo Dellien in the first round, the Serbian legend played some incredible tennis and defeated his opponent in straight sets, 6-2, 6-2.

Djokovic dominated the entire match and gave away just four games. It is a dream start for Nole, who is now just five wins away from securing an Olympic Gold for his nation; the one medal missing from his cabinet.

Interestingly, Djokovic made a really noble gesture by swapping his t-shirt with Dellien. He even mentioned that the Bolivian player said some really nice things to him at the net.

It is certainly a big moment for Dellien to face the World No.1 player in his very first match at the Tokyo Olympics 2020 and he should certainly take a lot of lessons from his defeat.

Novak Djokovic can accomplish the Golden Calendar Slam in 2021

Tokyo Olympics 2020 is much more than a Gold medal for Djokovic. He is eyeing the Golden Calendar Slam this year which he can only achieve if he succeeds at the Tokyo Olympics as well as at the US Open 2021.

Djoker has already won 3 Grand Slam titles this year after his recent success at the Wimbledon Championships 2021. If he wins the Olympic Gold and the US Open 2021 title, the Serb will become the first male player to accomplish the Golden Calendar Slam in the history of the sport.

With this, he’ll also become only the second player to win all the four Grand Slams in a single year after Rod Laver in the Open era. The Australian legend did the same way back in 1969.
