Novak Djokovic stunned the tennis world when he lifted his 18th Grand Slam title at the Australian Open 2021, despite playing with an injury. The World No. 1 played brilliantly and yet again defended his title in Melbourne. He hasn’t played professional tennis ever since, and fans are desperately waiting for his return.
Even though Novak Djokovic is a phenomenal player, he is often on the receiving end of criticism. There are those who believe he is not humble off the court and often gets himself into unnecessary controversies.
However, his fellow countryman and former tennis player, Janko Tipsarevic, revealed his personal relationship with Djoker. In a recent interview, Tipsarevic mentioned that Djokovic is a really nice guy off the court and is very humble as well, which makes him a champion.

“Novak is incredibly humble off the court,” began Tipsarevic. “He is probably talking about this stature, the most unmaterialistic person that you would ever meet. Like when you normally create generational wealth, people like this tend to change. Novak, from the moment that I know him up until this point, didn’t change one single bit in any way.”
Tipsarevic statements certainly reflected that Djokovic didn’t change, even after earning so much fame and wealth. According to the former player, it is this trait that makes the World No. 1 so humble.

Tipsarevic highlighted that Djoker is a person with a really big heart who is always ready to help everybody, especially those from his motherland, Serbia.

“[He is] definitely the most unmaterialisitic person that I know. A guy with a big heart who is always trying to help everybody, especially Serbia and his teammates,” added the former World No. 8 player.
Tipsarevic definitely believes that all the rumors about the World No. 1 player being arrogant and not humble are false. He even cited that Djokovic always tries to help his teammates.

With the upcoming clay-court season, Novak Djokovic will surely return to the court soon. Fans really have high expectations from him and want him to achieve many more feats this season. Will Djokovic be able to conquer the French Open 2021 by defeating Rafael Nadal this time?
