Novak Djokovic failed to give a kick-start to the year. The Serbian tennis legend had to sit out of almost the entire hard court swing because of his unvaccinated self and the same reason kept him on the sidelines in the US Open. However, even so, he succeeded in advancing his tab in terms of Grand Slam wins.
Djokovic secured his fourth consecutive Wimbledon title this season. With the help of this victory, he qualified for his 15th ATP Finals and secured hefty prize money. Many raised their voice against his qualification. Though there were also some who supported him and are happy for him today. One of those people is Chris Evert.

Evert is happy for Novak Djokovic
The 21 times Grand slam champion on Sunday claimed his fifth ATP Finals trophy and as a reward received $4,740,300 prize money. Now his total earnings have surpassed the sum of $160 Million. As a response to his achievement, the 18 times Grand Slam champion wrote, “Pretty perfect..”

Only the former World No 1 Daniil Medvedev, who slipped the 2021 US Open trophy out of Djokovic‘s hand, pushed the battle against him till the third round in the Turin-based tournament. Though, like others, he also crumbled.
