20-time Grand Slam champion Roger Federer has had quite a remarkable career so far. He has made and broken many records in the sport and is inarguably one of the greatest players of all time. However, there are some records that he might not be able to break.

Recently, the ATP Tour released the list of the players who have the most career aces till July 21, 2021. Interestingly, only Roger Federer is there on the list out of the ‘Big Three’ and surprisingly, he is on the third spot.

Till July 21, 2021, the Swiss Maestro has hit a total of 11,478 aces in a career spanning over 23 years. However, there are two players who have hit about 1000 and 2000 more aces than him, respectively.

Renowned for one of the best serves on tour, former World No. 8 John Isner is second on the list. Even though he has played very few matches as compared to Federer and turned pro nine years after him, his ace tally currently stands at 12,711.

Croatias’ Iva Karlovic is the player who has delivered the most aces to date. Standing at 6 feet and 11 inches, the 42-year-old has been playing professional tennis since 2000 and has hit a total of 13,709 in his career so far.

Fans were eagerly waiting for the return of Federer in the 2021 season. Even though they are quite happy with his performances, they certainly have more expectations from the Swiss Maestro.

Federer returned to the court at the Qatar Open 2021 where he, unfortunately, lost in the second round. He then played at his home at the ATP Geneva Open 2021 where he suffered a shocking defeat in the very first round against Pablo Andujar.

Although he played quite well at the French Open 2021, the former World No. 1 decided to withdraw from the Grand Slam after winning the first three matches. He then reached Halle but lost to Felix Auger-Aliassime in the second round.

The Wimbledon Championships 2021 was most probably the best shot for Federer to win his 21st Grand Slam. He gave some exceptional performances there and managed to reach the quarters. However, Hubert Hurkacz thrashed him in straight sets there and ended his campaign.

Roger Federer is not playing at the Tokyo Olympics. Thus, fans are wondering about his return to the court now. Will he be able to succeed at the US Open 2021?
