John McEnroe and Roger Federer are the two names that dominated men’s tennis during the 1990s and 2000s. As they have carved out an illustrious legacy, the former ATP players also serve as inspirational figures for the next generation on the tour. Even Andrey Rublev recently didn’t hold himself back from picking up the tennis veterans, among other notable figures in his hypothetical All-Star squad.

As he named some of the tennis greats, the current world No. 5 player also brought to light his passion for Formula 1. Aside from McEnroe and Federer, Rublev also included the British motorsport racing driver, Lewis Hamilton, in this list.

The official Instagram page of the ATP Tour shared a video clip in which the Russian tennis player was sighted sharing his picks for an All-Star weekend in the racket game. Andrey Rublev was asked, “If tennis had an All-Star squad weekend, who would you like to see playing it and why?”

In his honest response, the current world No. 5 player said, “Bjorn Borg, John McEnroe, Marat Safin, Let’s put Rogelio (Roger Federer) one more time. Let’s put Motley Crew, they will make a crazy show. Brad Pitt is going to be great for the atmosphere, or any Formula 1 driver like Hamilton, or whatever.”
