The Big Three in men’s tennis, Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic have cast an overwhelming shadow on the sport for more than two decades. The trio has lifted most of the big titles in men’s tennis across this period. It’s not just Grand Slam trophies that sit across their shelves, but also other honors like the Laureus Sports Awards. Recently, Laureus announced the nomination for the 2024 edition, eliciting an interesting question – who among the big three has won the most number of Laureus titles?
While Federer has called time on his illustrious career and Nadal struggles with injuries in the twilight of his, Djokovic is still going strong. Moreover, while he was nominated for the 2024 Sportsman of the Year award, the Serbian still trails the leader.

The Swiss maestro enthralled fans all across the globe during his illustrious tennis career. A naturally gifted player, Federer was a fan favorite, widely respected in the tennis circuit. As a result, he has the distinction of winning the Laureus Sports Award for the most number of times among the Big Three.
Federer clinched the Laureus Award an astonishing six times during his decades-long career. It included wins in different categories like the Sportsman of the Year and Comeback of the Year. The Swiss maestro’s first title came way back in 2004 and then in 2018, he won his most recent Laureus Award.

On the contrary, Nadal has won the Laureus Award four times. Although the Spaniard has been nominated for the award nine times, his success ratio has been about half. Similarly, Djokovic has claimed this honor on four occasions, having been nominated eight times, including this year.

Nonetheless, Djoker looks the favorite to win this year’s Sportsman of the Year award and overtake Nadal’s haul of four titles. The Serb had a fantastic 2023 season, winning three major championships. Djokovic last won the Laureus Award back in 2019.
