Stanislas Wawrinka Forges a New Acting Career as He Cherishes His Time on a French Comedy Show

Stanislas Wawrinka is a big-match player. The Swiss star has often stepped up his game when it has mattered the most. Putting on brilliant performances in major tournaments, Wawrinka has gone on to win three Grand Slam titles during his illustrious career. Moreover, these victories have come at a time when the likes of Roger Federer, Rafael Nadal, and Novak Djokovic have dominated the men’s circuit.
Apart from his love for tennis, the 37-year-old has been quite expressive of his fondness for filmography. In 2020, Wawrinka teamed up with one of his good friends, Kev Adams, a French comedian and screenwriter to produce a film. Recently, he shared some glimpses of him enjoying his time on the sets of a French comedy show.

The three-time Grand Slam champion took to Instagram to share some moments of him on the sets of the French comedy show, ‘Le Flambeau, les aventuriers de Chupacabra’. Sharing pictures with the cast and crew, he wrote, “Merci @jonathancohens @laflamme @canalplus”

Further, on the tennis front, Wawrinka made a comeback earlier this year after a lengthy injury layoff. The 37-year-old suffered a foot injury during a major part of last season.

However, his comeback hasn’t gone according to plan. In the recently concluded French Open 2022, the Swiss star lost in the opening round against Corentin Moutet.
Stan Wawrinka reflects on his French Open 2022 loss
Talking about his disappointing campaign in the clay-court Grand Slam tournament, Wawrinka said, “Obviously it’s a great disappointment to lose in a Grand Slam, but it’s the reality of my life now. I knew before the match that I needed to work a lot physically, to work my tennis. It’s not [that] I’m playing badly or I’m not good, but I’m not yet feeling good for matches like that.”

The Cinch Championships in London this week will mark Wawrinka’s first grass-court tournament of the season. He is set to face Frances Tiafoe in the opening round of the tournament.
