“Still Lot More Work to Be Done”: Novak Djokovic Reveals Details Regarding His Documentary

World No.1 Novak Djokovic suffered a humiliating defeat at the hands of Dan Evans at the Monte Carlo Masters 2021. The British No.1 Evans thrashed Djoker in straight sets and eliminated him in the pre-quarters of the tournament. The final scoreline of the match was 6-4, 7-5. Even though Djokovic didn’t get an ideal start, he’ll like to turn the tables around at the Serbian Open 2021.
The documentary of Novak Djokovic will be releasing soon and he spoke about it extensively ahead of the Serbian Open 2021. He revealed that the initial idea stuck to him four years ago. However, his team waited for some time in order to capture some more fascinating moments of his career.
“It was almost 4 years ago when we thought of it first and we started to record something with Amazon actually. We did not release any of that footage, we decided that we are gonna wait for some better moments when the time arise that we can create something with that footage,” said Djokovic to EssentiallySports during the Serbian Open media day.

Djokovic revealed what the documentary is about and the events that it’ll feature.
“So this documentary is linked to the historic No.1 ranking record and a kind of a trajectory and a way of everything that happened in my career & my childhood. A way to actually reach that milestone,” added the World No.1 player.
“Still not done”- Novak Djokovic on his upcoming documentary
Djoker admitted that even though a major part of the documentary is completed, it still needs some more time to get released. However, he stated that it’ll hopefully be ready by August-September and then they’ll release it.
“It’s still not done. There’s still lot more work to be done. But we have recorded a lot and we as hoping that August & September is something that we are aiming for to release this documentary,” continued the 17-time Grand Slam champion.

The Serbian legend emphasized that he wants to launch the documentary at the time of the US Open 2021. He feels that it’ll be an ideal time for it.
“We are hoping that we’ll be finalizing that on time during US Open. That’s something that we wish as a goal to launch there. Hopefully, people will enjoy and like it,” concluded Djokovic.
