Chris Evert believes that the schedule of the Madrid Open is not correct. The Masters 1000 event kicked off on 1st May. With some high-performance matches, the tournament is now in its final days. Yesterday, the 7th of May, the tournament scheduled its two men’s semifinal matches. While Djokovic and Alcaraz played the first semifinal, the second match featured Zverev taking on Tsitsipas.
Even though everything seemed smooth, what took the highlight was the timings of the match. With the finals scheduled for today, Chris Evert expressed her disapproval over the scheduling of the semifinal clash, which apparently ended close to midnight.

With the women’s final taking place at 6 PM, the semifinal clash between Tsitsipas and Zverev was scheduled at 9 PM. Following the coin toss and the warm-up taking place, the match finally kicked off around 9.15 PM. As both players are playing their best tennis, the match was a three-set thriller.
Fans enjoyed the clash thoroughly. However, what went unnoticed by many was the time. The 1 hour and 53-minute-long thriller ended post 11 PM. Even though one might think of it as a no big deal, it did need attention when looking at the finals scheduled for today. As per the schedule, the men’s singles finals of the Madrid Open will take place at 6.30 PM today.
