Roger Federer has withdrawn from the Cincinnati Open in order to focus on his US Open preparations and recovers from his injury. Focusing on his health, the Swiss star has managed to keep his head off of tennis for a while. In a recent Instagram reel, Federer is playing table tennis alone and has tried his hand word playing with the caption.
Roger Federer seems like he has thought through his retirement plans
The lockdown can get to people sometimes, and boredom can strike very soon. Roger Federer seems like he is going through the same phenomenon. After withdrawing from the National Bank Open and the Cincinnati Open, Federer is resting himself for the main event. In order to regain his form before the US Open, he has decided not to risk his body in any form of injury.

However, no tennis doesn’t mean he can’t try his hand at other sports, especially those that demand less physical exertion. In a recent Instagram post, Federer can be seen playing table tennis alone at his home. Hitting the ball against the other half of the table, the former World No.1, took a dig at the alone time he has to spend courtesy of the lockdown, captioning his post, “playing Table Tennis with my friends.”

Roger Federer is approaching the latter stages of his career. He is 40 and is still going strong in major events, as a result of which his fans expect him to win a final Grand Slam before hanging his boots.
