WATCH: Two Amateur Tennis Players Cannot Believe Their Luck After Meeting Andrey Rublev

Andrey Rublev has been on the tour since 2014. However, it was majorly from 2019 that the Russian gained light. Since then, he has been on a rising trend in his career, winning a number of titles each year. The 24-year-old today is one of the most promising youngsters in the current lot of players. Having a total of 11 titles till date, Rublev currently sits at the 8th spot in the ATP rankings.

He is currently playing his first Masters 1000 clay event of 2022 at the ATP Masters 1000 Mutua Madrid Open. Coming fresh from winning the Belgrade Open, Rublev looks highly confidents on the clay courts of the Spanish capital. However, the Madrid Open is not just a treat for Rublev but also his fans. An example of the same was seen recently.

Fans have the moment with Rublev

Andrey Rublev is nothing less than a star amongst the budding players. The Russian enjoys a major fan following, especially amongst girls. Thanks to his chocolate boy look. Even though his fans do all of what they can for him, Rublev also doesn’t fail to reciprocate the same. The player regualrly makes sure to interact with his fans in every possible manner. The same was captured by one of the cameras at the Madrid Open.

Recently, a video surfaced on social media. In the video, two budding female tennis players were standing in a beautiful lobby of the La Caja Mágica stadium.

The two were chatting with each other when they saw Andrey Rublev heading for his practice session. Speechless seeing the player, the two blushingly asked Rublev for a photo. Keeping his love for his fans alive, Rublev took no time to say a yes and spread his arms to pose for a photo with the girls. Even though Rublev left after the photo, the reaction of the girls said it all!

After suffering early-round exits in Sunshine Doubles, Rublev kicked off his clay-court campaign in Belgrade. Cruising through the initial rounds, Rublev entered the finals where he beat the World No. 1 Novak Djokovic to clinch the title.

Going ahead, he entered the Madrid Open. Entering the tournament as the 6th seed, he received a first-round bye. Kicking off his tournament campaign in the second round, he beat wildcard entrant Jack Draper in the second round.
