Rafael Nadal is having a dream 2022 season. The Spanish legend is unbeaten at Grand Slam tournaments this year, having already won the Australian Open and the French Open titles. Yesterday, he had a thrilling five-set victory over Taylor Fritz of the United States. In a match lasting close to four and a half hours on Centre Court at Wimbledon, Nadal had to come back from 2-1 down to prevail over his American opponent.
However, midway through the match, Nadal called on a trainer after struggling with an abdominal injury. Nadal was struggling to serve in the second set. During the injury time-out, his dad even asked Nadal to withdraw from the match. After the match, the Spaniard opened up on his injury scare.

I fought, proud about the fighting spirit and the way that I managed to be competitive under that conditions.”
