But it’s her life, so she can decide whatever she wants to do with it. She’s achieved much more than the majority in the tennis world, so I don’t think anyone can really tell her what to do.”

She said, “Today is difficult and filled with emotion for me as I announce my retirement from tennis.” It has been a roller-coaster journey for Barty, who had quit tennis once earlier to play the Big Bash League. However, she made a comeback to tennis, winning three Grand Slam women’s singles titles. Additionally, she also won the US Open women’s doubles title.

Earlier today, Kyrgios put in a stellar performance to defeat the fifth seed, Andrey Rublev, in the second round of the Miami Open. In a match that lasted just 52 minutes, Kyrgios breezed past Rublev 6-3, 6-0. He will take on Italy’s Fabio Fognini in the third round.
