In sports, greatness is often measured by records, victories, and the legacy left behind. In tennis, like in any other sport, there’s an ongoing debate about who’s the greatest ever. But recently, Patrick Mouratoglou, who is known for working with Serena Williams, made a strong statement. He believes that Novak Djokovic has now earned the title of the greatest tennis player ever. But what were the reasons behind his decision?

The declaration comes on the heels of Djokovic’s remarkable 24th Grand Slam victory at the 2023 US Open, where he displayed both mental fortitude and tactical brilliance to clinch the title.

Mouratoglou emphasized Djokovic’s unprecedented accomplishments, making a compelling case for his status as the finest tennis player in history. This year, despite facing a serious threat from Carlos Alcaraz, the Djoker managed to win three out of the four Grand Slams, taking his tally to 24.

Mouratoglou remarked, “I think it is always difficult to compare sports because I don’t know the other sports well enough to say that one sportsman is better than all the others in other sports. But definitely in tennis, there is no discussion about the fact that he is the greatest considering his achievement.”

Djokovic’s 24 Grand Slam titles are already a remarkable achievement, setting him apart from others. However, Mouratoglou believes Djokovic is far from done. He confidently stated, “And he’s going to keep playing for a few more years and will win many more titles. He won’t stop at 24, even though 24 is already an incredible number. He can win many more, so he’s definitely the greatest.”

However, this isn’t the first time Mouratoglou has praised Djokovic.
