Rafael Nadal is on a roll this season. Earlier this year, he lifted the Australian Open title, defeating Daniil Medvedev in the summit clash. It was a thrilling, come-from-behind victory by the Spaniard, becoming the first man to win 21 Grand Slam singles titles. Subsequently, in the second major tournament of the season, the French Open, the Spaniard, continued his Grand Slam success, defeating Casper Ruud in the finals to win his 14th Roland Garros title.

The tennis fraternity was all praise for Nadal for putting on an incredible performance throughout the tournament. After his victory, Canadian tennis star Eugenie Bouchard shared a hilarious meme about Nadal.

Eugenie Bouchard has an interesting take on the success of Rafael Nadal

The 28-year-old Canadian took to Instagram to share a hilarious meme on Nadal’s success at Roland Garros. The meme read, “The year is 2050, Rafa Nadal has just won his 42nd Roland-Garros title!” Additionally, it had a picture of Nadal with a white beard, celebrating his success on the clay courts of the tournament.

It was a dominating performance by Nadal in the final against Casper Ruud of Norway. The Spaniard attacked Ruud’s serve well and didn’t let him win any easy points throughout the match. In the end, it took two hours and 18 minutes for Nadal to prevail over the Norwegian in straight sets.

Nadal hints about his participation at Wimbledon

During the post-match press conference after winning the French Open 2022, Nadal talked about his participation in the grass-court Grand Slam tournament. He said, “I’m gonna be in Wimbledon if my body is ready to play Wimbledon. Wimbledon is a tournament nobody wants to miss. Players like me are always ready to play Wimbledon. Let’s see how it works.”
