Notably, this was Watson’s 43rd Grand Slam appearance at this year’s Wimbledon Championships. After 43 attempts, she finally reached the fourth round of a Grand Slam tournament, that too at her home Grand Slam. In 2015, the current British no.4 came very close to reaching the fourth round. Unfortunately, she suffered a heartbreaking loss to the American legend, Serena Williams in a tough match, where she was serving for the match.
