The battle of words between Nick Kyrgios and those supporting Jannik Sinner amid his doping scandal continues. Ever since it was revealed that the World No.1 tested positive for banned substance Clostebol, back in August, Kyrgios has been after him. The two-time Grand Slam champion was cleared by the ITIA, which mentioned “no fault or negligence” on his part. But the Aussie wasn’t convinced. “Ridiculous – whether it was accidental or planned.” he reacted on social media. Lately, Nick’s received backlash from figures like Andy Roddick, and the WTA pro Sara Errani. But guess what? Kyrgios has now come up with a firing response at her!
Few days back, Sara Errani was asked to share her thoughts on Kyrgios criticizing Sinner in the doping controversy. Speaking at the Super Tennis Awards, she revealed an unfiltered opinion while hitting back at the Australian and former World No.13. “I don’t know him [Kyrgios] personally,” she said on Wednesday. “Lately he’s made a few bad and unfortunate comments: in that case I didn’t like him that much.”
“I’m not just talking about what he said about Sinner. He made some pretty strong statements. Then when you’re not around and you play less… he seemed egocentric to me and I didn’t like it that much,” she said. But things seem to have taken a turn in the wildest fashion following her statement. But how?

A random user @GernezDen on X posted something that eventually gave Kyrgios a golden opportunity to hit back at Sarra Errani – but in a hilarious manner.
“So Errani, a known doper, criticised Kyrgios for calling out Sinner, who’s failed two doping tests? Italian athletes and doping, it’s a love story” wrote the user in their post, dated December 26. It didn’t take long for Kyrgios to notice it. Without wasting this chance to target Errani, he wrote, “Your sh*****g me” with a laughing emoji as he reacted to the fan’s post.
Your shitting me 😂 https://t.co/BNtpQcjgtC

The reason for the X user accusing Errani of doping dates back to 2017.
Seven years ago, she was tested positive for a banned substance letrozole. It had entered her system through her mother, who had been using the drug as part of her breast cancer treatment. Some of the medication accidentally spilled onto the kitchen counter, where tortellini and broth were subsequently prepared.
What’s your perspective on:
Is Nick Kyrgios justified in his relentless pursuit of Jannik Sinner, or is he overstepping?

After finding Errani guilty in the case, the ITF initially banned her for two months. In June 2018, however, the ban was later extended to 10 months. “I am really disgusted by this matter. I don’t think anything similar has ever happened or been managed – in my humble opinion – in such a shameful manner,” she reacted while showing frustration at the verdict, as reported by the BBC in 2018. She later returned to the tennis courts after her 10-month suspension ended in early 2019.
Coming back to Sinner’s doping situation, Kyrgios is in no mood to spare him. In fact, he’s doubled his attacks on the ATP Finals winner in the last few months.

Nick Kyrgios is “happy to be back” and wants to create “absolute riot” against Sinner
Last month, Nick Kyrgios had put up a story on his Instagram while mocking Jannik Sinner amid the doping saga. Remember, the Italian previously explained that he got the banned substance Clostebol in his system through his physiotherapist. The latter had accidentally applied the cream containing the substance on his body while giving him a massage. While sharing a picture of himself, the Aussie took this point for a hilarious jab at the Fox.
“No contamination, just a normal cream used on an operated wrist. From an experienced physiotherapist who I am responsible for. Happy to be back and not cheating the system,” he wrote. Surprisingly, the Aussie has now expressed a strong urge to go against Sinner in a professional match and beat him.
Speaking during an episode of the Nothing Major podcast, dated December 14, he said, “I just want to go out there and I really want to play Sinner. Like I’m waiting for it, man,” he began. He really wants to battle it out against the World No.1 at the Australian Open, if there comes a chance. Not only that, he’s also devised a plan on how he will eventually defeat Sinner.

“Well, I thought about this and I’ve been thinking, I’ve been talking about it a little bit, like if I played him in Australian Open, like I would get every single person in the crowd to just like get on him,” he said. “I would just turn into an absolute riot. Like I would lose all respect, would go out the window and would just do anything to win,” he concluded.
This strategy seems really enticing, to say the least. But will it really work against the Fox? Only time will tell. What are your thoughts on Nick Kyrgios constantly attacking Sinner? Let us know in the comments below.
