French tennis star Gael Monfils revealed how fatherhood brought perfection in his life. Monfils welcomed a new member into his family with his wife Elina Svitolina in 2022. The celebrity tennis couple introduced their child Skaii Monfils and the Ukrainian WTA star shared the news on her social media profiles. Svitolina previously spoke about motherhood fuelling her tennis motivations. Now, Svitolina’s husband and a prominent ATP star, Gael Monfils followed his wife’s path to narrate the same about his fatherhood journey.

During last year’s Indian Wells, Monfils spoke about attending tournaments for the first time after his little princess came into his life. Now, this French ATP Pro delves deeper into his true feelings after having Skaii.

“it just give me even more happiness in my life” – Gael Monfils believes fatherhood has changed him towards being a better person

Recently, in a press conference, an interviewer brought up Monfils his wife’s reference about parenthood, and asked whether he has the same feelings as his wife. In his response, Gael Monfils said- “ I think no matter what, it makes you a better person, you know. It’s definitely the best thing happen to me, and I guess for her too.” Apart from parenthood, this French ATP star believed that Svitolina is a great player because she is a better person.

Monfils further added to his statement and said- “ And then of course when you’re a better person you can be a better player, you can see difference definitely for her. It helps her on many stuff, and I think she will open herself maybe to you, but for me it just give me even more happiness in my life.”

Gael Monfils’s revelation about fatherhood and its impact on his professional career expressed that he is currently enjoying his parenthood phase. Despite having difficulties attending tournaments with a kid, Monfils believed that having a baby has changed his perceptions about life and his professional tennis career. The feeling was mutual for his wife, Elina Svitolina as the latter spoke about her feelings in detail.

Elina Svitolina admired the skills of the working women for their ability to balance between work and motherhood

After giving birth to her daughter Skaii, things changed for Ukrainian tennis star, Elina Svitolina. In an exclusive interview last year, Svitolina said- “I take inspiration also from other women who gave birth, came back to the sport and tennis, or different sports as well. For sure, it takes a huge effort to do that. Even like we have Tatjana Maria who came back after two kids. It’s really inspiring, to be fair. I’m not sure I would come back after the second baby!” 

Svitolina’s statement helped fans to understand that her colleagues and seniors inspired her to return to professional tennis after motherhood.

Gael Monfils’s revelation represented that this French ATP pro is a great father.
