Rafael Nadal is one step closer to Novak Djokovic’s record

To say that Nadal has had an extraordinary career would be an understatement. The former World No. 1 is one of the greatest fighters on tour, never letting a single point go uncontested. Recently he became the first male player to win 21 Majors when he won the Australian Open earlier this year. He has also been having a career-best start to 2022, despite being out of the tour for 6 months because of a foot injury. He made his comeback at the Mubadala World Tennis Championships for an exhibition match in December last year.

Since his comeback, Nadal has won three titles so far this season. Now he has reached the final in Indian Wells and has a shot at equalling Novak Djokovic’s record of 37 Masters titles if he prevails over Taylor Fritz in the finals.
