Despite hanging his boxing gloves a long time ago, Mike Tyson is still a popular figure and draws attention wherever he shows up. AEW roped him in for an appearance at the Double or Nothing PPV in 2020, where he presented the TNT Championship to Cody Rhodes.

A few days later, he would also confront his old WWE nemesis, Chris Jericho, on Dynamite. In 2021, on an episode of Dynamite, he rushed to the aid of Jericho against The Pinnacle. The next week, he was the special guest enforcer for a match between Jericho and Dax Harwood.
