Many regard Michael Jordan as the greatest of all time. LeBron James, on the other side, has his own case for the basketball GOAT. While the two NBA greats have the utmost respect for each other, fans and media have always debated on who’s the better one among them. 16-time World champion in professional wrestling, Ric Flair feels the Lakers star is the GOAT ahead of Michael Jordan.

Michael Jordan won six championships with Chicago Bulls and dominated the 90s decade, like no other. King James, on the other side, has won four championships but has been around for more than 19 years and has still a lot to play.

Former WWE star Ric Flair had a long 40-year career and knows a thing or two about longevity in professional sports. He has the experience of WCW, WWE, and TNA in his hands and it shows how much expertise he has in his field. However, this time, he gave his opinion on basketball and admitted that LeBron James is the GOAT and not MJ.

Ric Flair consider LeBron James as the GOAT, ahead of Michael Jordan

WWE legend Ric Flair recently invited Mark Madden for the 16th episode of ‘Ric Flair Wooooo Nation UNCENSORED’. During the show, Mark Madden talked about LeBron James’ future and his desire to play alongside his son. To this, Ric replied that he hoped James stays in LA. Ric also called him the GOAT for his longevity.

“Well, I hope it’s in LA. But it could be in Cleveland, you never know,” Ric Flair told Mark Madden about LeBron’s future. “The nice thing about LeBron is being the greatest of all time. Which I still think he is. I love Michael Jordan. But look at the stats and he just keeps playing. I mean, he’s averaging 29 points this year. Guys, come on, 29 what, 9 and 8 or something like that.”

Ric Flair has long been a LeBron supporter and has never shied away from calling him the GOAT. However, him calling LeBron the GOAT should come as a surprise for many, considering he is from North Carolina and is a Carolinian by heart. Let us tell you that this is the same place where people love Jordan, who owns the NBA franchise from that region.

However, Ric’s reasoning for calling James the GOAT is his longevity, where the latter has an upper hand over Jordan. Jordan had a short career but illustrious career, in which he won 6 championships in 15 seasons.
