Usman Nurmagomedov put on a dominant performance against Patrik Pietilla at Bellator 269 and continued his undefeated streak.

Khabib Nurmagomedov‘s cousin, Usman, wasted no time and made quick work of his opponent. He took him to the ground early and mauled him before landing in a rear-naked choke, which lead to Pietilla’s submission. The win takes Nurmagomedov to a 14-0 record in his career, and he’s hoping to fight a top 10 opponent in his next fight.

After the win, in the post-fight interview, he said, “I wish I could have had from the top 10 to put on a real performance. I’m asking Bellator to give me someone from the top 10 cause the amount of haters are increasing.”

Usman was the favorite coming into the fight and displayed that he was the superior fighter right from the get-go. It took him no time to take the fighter from Finland down to the mat and from there; the end was near. He showed his grappling skills before getting the submission win.

People were quick to get on Twitter to share their thoughts about the fight. Most were in awe of Nurmagomedov’s skills as a fighter and some even called him the most well-rounded fighter in MMA today.

The MMA community reacted positively to the Russian fighter’s win. He won the fight in the very first round via a rare-naked choke and the fans shared their views.

Brian Campbell expects Nurmagomedov to become a champion soon. He said, “Usman Nurmagomedov is going to be wearing a Bellator title very soon.”
