Appearing on the cover pages of several fitness magazines like Muscle and Fitness, Flex, and Muscular Development, he solidified his position and marked himself as an unmatchable force in the realm of the sport.
Jay Cutler even won the most prestigious show, Mr. Olympia, four times, and ranked himself in the runner-up position six times, which is to date, the highest. After winning the title for the first time, he was also given the opportunity to participate in the Arnold Classic, however, he declined it, and here’s why.

Why did Jay Cutler not participate in the 2007 Arnold Classic?
In one of the most recent episodes of the podcast by Jay Cutler, posted on the official YouTube page of The Cutler Cast, Milos Sarcev was featured as a guest, along with Jay Cutler and his manager Matt Daniels. They spoke about the bodybuilding journey of the IFBB Pro coach and Jay Cutler.
As the video gradually progressed, Milos Sarcev asked Jay Cutler why he did not even think about going for the Arnold Classic after winning the Mr. Olympia for the first time. To this Cutler spoke about how the Hummers were taken away, and he did not see any scope of going backward just when he had started rising against his greatest rival.

Jay Cutler said, “Well, remember they took the Hummers away so I mean it’s hard to go backward you know what I mean. When the Hummer stopped, it was like there was like a double check for me and it was taxing you know.” It took him a lot of effort to win against Ronnie Coleman and he did not intend for it to be his last. He also revealed how a certain aspect of his physique pulled him down and delayed his win.

In one of his interviews hosted by The Iced Coffee Hour, the legendary bodybuilder was asked about his greatest strength and weaknesses. There is no doubt that Cutler is known for his exceptionally huge quads, and well, that indeed is his strength. However, he feels that his back has always been a backlog for him and that was what delayed his win against his greatest rival.

Jay Cutler said, “It’s the quads for sure for me. I mean I had tons of detail, and I had striations, I mean the quad stomp is something I am known for, especially with the younger generation now.
