Bodybuilding icon Chris Bumstead, renowned for his prowess, recently melted hearts with a touching moment shared with his newborn daughter. Initially considering naming her after a Pokémon character, CBum, and his partner ultimately settled on the endearing name Bradley Shay Bumstead, as revealed in an Instagram post celebrating the birth on April 22nd.

Bumstead, known for his wit and charm, recently shared a heartwarming picture on his Instagram, cradling his daughter. He captioned the image “an absolute nugget,” capturing the raw emotion of fatherhood. The photo radiated the depth of his emotional connection with his child.

However, amidst the sweetness, CBum humorously expressed his priorities in a subsequent slide, stating, “Thanks everyone for all the love for Bradley. Idgaf if you congratulate my career or think I should win or lose the Olympia… but you damn well better think my baby is cute.” This candid remark highlighted his unwavering devotion to his newborn.

Throughout their journey, CBum and Courtney have been sharing glimpses of their parenthood bliss through Instagram stories, offering followers intimate moments before and after Bradley’s birth. From announcing their expectation of a child to revealing the baby’s gender, followed by weekly updates, the journey was filled with anticipation.

However, the baby took a little longer than expected before making her grand entrance. Even before her birth, CBum was caught seeking advice from his old friend and Mr. Olympia Men’s Physique Ryan Terry during their training collaboration. In addition to preparing for their child, although they had decided on the name well in advance, they didn’t publicly announce it. Instead, they dropped hints that the baby’s name would start with the letter ‘B.’ CBum even joked about adding ‘Blastoise’ in the middle of the name, envisioning a playful ‘BBB’ sequence.

In March, during a Q&A session along with his fiance, Cbum addressed the eagerly anticipated question of his baby’s name. Confirming it’s a girl, he playfully hinted that her name begins with a B. He humorously suggested naming her after the Pokémon character Blastoise when pressed for details. The Canadian bodybuilder humorously injected,”The name was going to be Blastoise it would be BBB. The all B’s e blast Bumstead I thought it would be hilarious.” “A Blastoise is a beauty if you guys know the evolution of Squirtle and Pokemon if you’re not getting the reference,” explained the 29-year-old.

With such an explanation Cbum then proposed “Blastoise” as a middle name, envisioning it as a quirky tale for his daughter to tell in the future. However, Courtney refused the suggestion, emphasizing that the actual name won’t be Pokémon-related. However, he didn’t disclose the name then. Additionally, through their light-hearted banter, they kept the mood playful and entertaining for their fans and viewers.
