Four-time Classic Physique Mr. Olympia winner Chris Bumstead had an extended off-season. After winning the 2022 Classic Physique Mr. Olympia title, the Canadian bodybuilder didn’t compete at the Arnold Classic 2023 and chose to recover. However, after his rival Ramon Dino’s convincing victory at the Arnold Classic 2023, Bumstead is pushing himself hard for the upcoming 2023 Mr. Olympia contest.

Earlier, Bumstead’s coach, Hany Rambod, uploaded a leg day video with Bumsted. While the video was filmed 14 weeks before the upcoming Olympia, CBum had already begun prepping. Rambod said the 28-year-old champion had a great offseason and is ready to dial up the intensity. However, in the middle of their intense leg training session, Bumstead made a bizarre confession.

The video started with Rambod pushing  Bumstead to squeeze every last rep on the leg extension machine. CBum then moved to performing heavy smith machine squats where Rambod spotted him. The coach pushed Bumstead so hard he couldn’t stand up for a while. However, despite the intense workout, Bumstead made a bizarre confession.

“I think I need a burger this year I can feel it,” said the bodybuilding champion. While bodybuilders eat junk food when they bulk, their diet becomes extreme as the show approaches. In fact, many bodybuilders dehydrate themselves before the show to look as ripped as possible. Hence, Rambod disapproved of Bumstead’s plan. However, he responded with sarcasm. “All he wants is a burger,” said Rambod. However, CBum had an explanation. “Yeah it’ll just decrease my cortisol,” joked the four-time Classic Physique champion.

“Yeah you should just order yourself a pizza,” said Rambod dialing up the sarcasm. However, Bumstead revealed doesn’t want to consume dairy. “No! No dairy,” he said. “No Dairy? So that sandwich can’t have any cheese on it?” asked Rambod. “No… I’d never get cheese. No cheese, extra ketchup, and a pickle,” said Bumstead.

While Bumstead’s offseason might have been great, the Canadian did have a rough start to his Olympia prep.
